It Dawned June

~ Abhirami R Iyer

It dawned June
Elara as she was
Lapsed into contemplation
Her verdicts over dilemma,
As they said
Brooding over
Were they right
In a verge of rue she sat
As they exhort, She engaged
Her meditations Lead nowhere
Concoctions were Already made
Whether by them or by her

Then,
Breezes whispered
Blemishes beckon all
Foibles are for all
What you elect can be wrong.
Being with them,
Is to exult.
The winds swayed,
the daffodils titled
There stood Orion ,
noble in his presence
He never seized
soothed by his druthers
Rose above muddling.
Tacitly agreeing with Orion,
She was not alone
Affirming herself, ‘
There are tender hours
yet, unveil your soul
Never dwell over
Seek solace in What you do.

Winds caressed her,
There she sat,
By the tranquil river
Sang the tune of grace ,
Breeze mirthfully nodded
Sublime Orion was all smiles
Seeing them, she embraced her calm.
